Premier League 2022/23 (Part 1)

Dear me

Poor luck, really. Going down to ten through injury. Forest have really put up a fight in this run in. I hope they stay up.

No way fuck sakes, go out for 15 mins to get an oreo milkshake, come back and Brentford have woN!?!?!?!?!?

Going right in the fucking bin now, send all 5 of them down.

If we don’t make it into the CL, teams like Brighton also won’t make it easy for us to finish above them.

Pretty sure there’s a difference between finishing 5th and 6th.

5th might go straight into the Europa League group stage and 6th might mean having to play at least one round of a qualification playoffs - which might even collide with our preseason plans.

Can somebody confirm?

All top-5 league teams go straigth into group stage from last year (or year before) afaik.

Yeah only Europa Conference League seems to have qualification :see_no_evil:

Thing is it is in our hands to finish top 6, shame Wolves helped Brighton’s GD.

While I obviously hope we grab 4th spot from the mancs, I genuinely would be happy enough with a Europa league spot. Think we would be among the favourites and gives Klopp and his squad an additional trophy to add to his haul.

Arsenal top of the table for at least 7 months and today is the day that will change.

Has the Harry Maguire experiment ended then? On the bench today.

Sky going with the most boring of matches.

Probably see if Napoli can claim the title

Is that Man City, then? I see Haaland has already scored a penalty.

Not sure what Sky in the UK are doing but Sky Germany are showing all four games.

Yeah, can one watch any PL match one wants to in England? Is some purchased subscription necessary?

In the U.S., one has to have Peacock, which is a streaming service, but it comes with the cable package I have, which is why I haven’t “cut the cord.”

Am I the only one who thinks Dan Burn has a very punchable face?

Newcastle should be 3-0 up already.

Just the one. Unless it’s a special package of games such as BT last week and Amazon the week before. The TV deal is far too heavily restricted.

Understand the 3pm blockage on a Saturday (though that has to end especially for international games), but 4 games they should at least show the others.

There a bit like the record industry when downloading came along.
