Surrey.
They outnumber the Chelsea fans in this part of London.
It really is what it is, weāve won 6 in a row to put ourselves with a chance. People were talking about this side being relegated without any signings this summer.
As for Brighton they will struggle to take maximum points is what basically means they finish above is, with both Man City, Newcastle, Aston Villa and Arsenal all to play.
Everton to slip up and Leicester and Forest to win would be nice.
Fair enough, I remember being up for a Liverpool match and about 7 or 8 got on at Stoke and they were basically on the same train as me all the way down and through London to Surbiton.
Well, itās all over. City win the title by two points. We finish 4th, two points ahead of Utd. Brighton are 6th ahead of Spurs on GD. Forest, Leeds and Southampton are relegated. Everton survive on GD - -34 against Forestās -36.
So, we can all go to the beach now.
Everton went down on mine.
Iāve got United to win both their next two games (Bournemouth and Wolves have lousy GD which doesnāt bode well) but conceding in both, then a 0-0 draw with Chelsea and a surprise 2-1 loss at home on the final day vs Fulham.
Newcastle in mine finish on the same points as us on 71 but just pip us to 3rd on GD, 34 to 31.
Way I see it is I just canāt see it but letās see what happens.
Most of us have seen the most unexpected this season. Im strapped in and ready for more.
I accepted that top 4 for us was over a few weeks ago and therefore was losing interest in the run in. Im now enjoying seeing who, if anyone, bottles it. Iād like to hope our form (of late but also generally under Klopp) has those above us nervous.
If we get there, massive bonus. If not, and we still win our last three, then a great end to the season, and hopefully a good pre-season and we come out all guns blazing.
Today is huge in the fight for survival.
Wins for Leicester Brighton (similar fashion to Wolves) and Forest please, nothing else will do.
Then Everton would be 4 points adrift with City coming to town next weekā¦enjoy these last few weeks Everton, soak it all up baby because itās coming to an end VERY SOON.
Wow, I wonder how the PGMOL is gonna explain away the refereeing for this gameweek after the stuff that happened at Anfield and the London stadium?
The PGMOL donāt explain anything
Got a bit easier, but still have to rely others!
I am still refusing to watch any of the non LFC games. Iām just catching up on the scores after those matches to see if we were thrown a bone.
Weāll finish on 71 points with around plus 30 goal difference.
Mancs need 3 wins from 4 games to beat that points total, they wont get them.
Not sure what to make of all that.
Newcastle in the better position but Unitedās remaining fixtures are much easier.
So I doubt weāll catch any of them on points.
Bit hope that we might catch Newcastle on goal difference.
Dropping points against Big Sam (Saturday early kick off) would be great for a start.
Mrs C had the Sandcastle v Arse game on so she could cheer for her fellow petrodollar mates. I on the other hand was rooting for the Arse. Iām not bothered who wins the league. I just want NU and Utd to drop as many points as possible and us to continue winning.
You missed a good game BTW.
What happens if we have the same number of points and same goal difference compared to Newcastle?
We beat them twice and scored more goals.
I think goals scored is the next tie breaker after GD.
I had not quite realized how interesting a set of matches there are today. Four of the bottom 5 playing in the three matches. Absolute must-win for Forest with their next two, though where thereās Frank, thereās hope.
