Premier League 2022/23 (Part 1)

Everton celebrating their first win in two months like it’s a cup final.

for them it is, I guess.

Brighton haven’t much to play for, but this is dreadful.

Well technically they had a CL place to play for.

They have a chance of qualifying for Europe. After this capitulation tonight, I hope they don’t get it.

I guess I always saw them as an outside shot at Europe given that they seem to be absolute pants at finishing.

Good to see they finally showed up for the game. Shame it started an hour and a half ago.

The silver lining is Brighton could have overtaken us, so a loss puts a big dent in that.

So we are not really looking over our shoulder now, just upwards, to Man Utd and Newcastle.

Here’s hoping…

For what it’s worth, two years ago I thought we had no chance prior to the 4-2 Old Trafford win and didn’t really believe until the Alisson header. We are still very much on the outside of the bubble, but we are on it nonetheless.

someone tell me again how Prickford just got away with bowling over a BHA player in the box without even a call. now he’s feigning injury?

Fucking pretenders.

Southampton going to cap the misery off today aren’t they? Can just see it.

They’ve scored a similar amount as us this season

This has to be 1 of the most embarrassing results in the league this season.

Conceding 5 to Everton? Think I’d rather concede 10 to City.

Regardless of goals scored, would love to know what their conversion rate is. Granted, I really only paid attention to them in the last month or so, but it seems like they get in good positions and create opportunities but have trouble making them count. I could go back and look at their XG but I am too lazy.

5-1, goodnight Seagulls

Funny that Everton are now only two goals behind Chelsea’s total for the season. How much money did they spend again?

Bewildering

Everton just scored 16% of this season’s goals in one match.

There’s a reason they have never been relegated even though they’ve been down there so often and thats because they scrap for everything when they get this close to the bottom at this time of year.

Yeah happened this time last year looked garbage until they went into the bottom 3 and then suddenly turned up.

Saying that Forest beat Brighton a few weeks back maybe Brighton have just run out.

Yes, this would be my guess.

Some very weird results tonight oh well at least we might have got rid of another pursuant all we can do is keep winning and hope for a miracle! The Leicester result means that we will be playing against a wounded animal on monday plus the ref
