Premier League 2022/23 (Part 2)

Everton now have to win I guess on the final day.

Leeds need a miracle.

That is more or less what happened with Citeh, over the span of almost 3 years. Getting a spot in the CL this quickly is pivotal. They will be dumping half these guys within the year.

Clean sheet. Drill that BR possession football right out of their heads. Brilliant.

Dean will be proud for taking it to the final game.:woozy_face:

As I said the guys a big con job.

On the strength of that showing, I wonā€™t miss Leicester next season. A couple of decent players, but they might struggle to keep them. Seven players out of contract, eight entering their last year, that will clear the decks for a rebuild, but you have to wonder who is going to guide that. Apparently Smith has not even discussed what happens after next weekend.

I donā€™t think it worked, that passive 2-banks system is sort of tiki taka without the possession

Iā€™d hope for Leicester itā€™s not keeping him.

I have to assume that is not the plan, the fact that there have been no discussions at all is startling. But I donā€™t know who they have as a director now to oversee a rebuild. There is a fundamental decision to be made very early - try to tune up this team to get back to the PL, or start building a new team?

Youā€™d hope not, the guy looked out of his depth at Norwich and this is a far harder job you feel.

Heā€™d look out of his depth in a puddle.

The Leicester story feels a lot like the Southampton story, albeit more successful. Southampton were never the same once Markus Liebher died and kids took over and forced out Cortese. Over time they lost a lot of the backroom expertise and became a club with no vision just treading water until they eventually drowned. I think the kids at Leicester are more invested than Liebherā€™s daughter was, but interest alone isnt enough, otherwise weā€™d have won everything under Moores

How amazing would it be if Manure lost their next two games and we beat Southampton?

I wasnā€™t aware we could still do it.

Hoping that Bournemouth score atleast 2 goals in the first 15 min to shut goodison park up totally. Without the crowd behind them , thereā€™s no way Everton will mount a comeback.

Isnā€™t likely to happen but we would edge United on goal difference if it did.

If and a big IF United lose against Chelsea at home, that is a huge upset. Also , their last match is against Fulham as well.

Also a 100000/1 chance shitty will be stripped of their titles and demoted to the conference league so its good to be sitting in 5th place.:grin:
