Premier League 2023/24 (Part 1)

Have they got that right?

Beto has deliberately gone to play the ball?

Nope. Nketiah had nothing to do with that phase of play. Also the line drawing is shite

Martinelli has now crocked himself

He has, he laid the ball off.

It’s offside. Thought as much on first viewing.

Maybe that is why Lampard hated him, he was afraid of him

He is offside I think but he comes back on from an offside position.

Which isn’t offside or is it due to the touch.

Thought Nketiah was on this side…praps it’s not him…

Confused

Only way this is going be solved is with automated offside.

I imagine these VAR refs struggling to draw text boxes in Word.

Nketiah was offside. Ball comes to him, laid off, a few seconds later it’s in the net.

Doesn’t look off until you spot his heel, but it is. Beto’s touch is irrelevant.

Right decision. Would be interested to see how close Martinelli was as well.

What are you lot talking about? He was clearly and unambiguously offside (at least once you see the VAR lines). He was in an offside position when the ball was played forward and he then layed it off a team mate with the next touch.

It gave Everton something to add to the DVD.

So what’s Everton’s game plan here? Hang on until they get scored upon? Then what?

Gary Neville needs to go back to the VAR headquarters so they can explain to him again how the lines are drawn.

Dyche hasn’t come up with something for that yet.

Give him a few more months. I would have thought long balls to Beto but all I’ve seen is one. They’ve tried to pass it out mainly due to the fact Prickford can’t kick.

The ‘We Won VAR’ dvd?

I thought this as well, but Gary Neville has just said the decision “didn’t feel right”.

ONSIDE!

The ball was played forward via a massive touch from Beto…I go back to the Salah v Wolves goal where he’s offside when the ball was played but their CB flicked it on and the goal stood because the defender’s flick on was deemed a deliberate action?

Beto goes charging in to close the ball down which to me is a deliberate act?

Arsenal also contributing to make it a shite match. Should be pressing the life out of the pathetic Toffees. Way too lax
