Premier League 2023/24 (Part 1)

Erickson has long been misunderstood as a luxury player you have to carry. He was never that at Ajax or Spurs, but at Utd he looks like he’s a 40 year old dusting off his boots for a one off come back to make up numbers for his old club struggling to get to XI

Yeah I mean the biggest takeaway from this season for Ten Hag is his inability to manage his squad. I get that injuries have made it difficult, but you look at how consistently bad Bruno and Rashford have been, yet they start almost every game for them without question. Mount was bought in the summer for a high price and start from the bench every match nearly. Hojlund came in with a back injury, and due to his age and inexperience, it was expected that he wouldn’t be able to start two matches a week, yet here we are.

Guys like Pellistri/Mount/Varane/Sancho/Martial might not be first choice, but you HAVE to rotate or it’ll compound your injury situation. As I predicted in the summer, Ten Hag has been found out and exposed as a giuy completely out of his depth.

Ducking arsenal

Goldbridge just now.

"Utd right now is confusing. It’s like watching a movie when you don’t know what kind of movie it is. Is it a drama? Is it a romance? Is it a horror?’

I vote comedy.

James: At this rate the United showers will be empty after the game. Barely anyone has broken sweat so far. Do they care or are they happy to sit on their £200k a week at the expense of the fans?

Follow up…

Does anyone other than Utd fans care?

Could also be a comedy-horror? Do they still do those?

Probably safely rule out it being a romance.

Must be a porno, it gets me hard.

Luton are out-muscling Utd the way they did to us.

Burnley grab an equaliser.

Double fuck.

I’m fine with United shithousing wins against weaker teams. Keeps Ten Hag in the job a little longer. I don’t want someone competent to get a hold of them before we play them next month.

Class eventually rises to the top if you give it time. We just need patience. Also remember, we’re not a sacking club.

Eric at the wheel

The fact that Maguire and Lindelof are starting against Varane, who was supposed to make them title challengers (nonwithstanding having Thiago-itis) is just the state of that club.

I said that I would take them sneaking past Fulham and Luton if that meant they would crash out of CL and I stand by that. However, I’m very frustrated that we’re the only one big six side dropping points against Luton.

Apparently Ten Hag and Varane have had a falling out, and there are strong rumors that Varane will be off to Saudi Arabia in Jan, along with Casemiro. They’ll try to loan Sancho out while paying most or all of his wages, too. Absolute shambles of a club.

We’re having a wobble at the moment, which is expected given how many new faces we’ve brought in and the state of our left back situation. We’ll be alright, I fully expect us to finish top 2, and probably win a cup or two as well.
