Regardless of whether Arsenal turn it around tonight or not, I’d have bitten your hand had you offered me this league table position on this day at any point during 2023.
It will be a close race and I fear a resurgent, cynicism-inspired Man City that I saw away to Luton and Everton, where we dropped points in case of the former or tend to drop them in case of the latter.
However, more than Man City, Arsenal or Aston Villa, I fear the susceptibility to injuries of our players, as well as absences of Salah and Endo. We can’t catch a break with injuries after 2019/20 in a similar way to how we never win against Ancelotti after beating his Milan in Istanbul.
