Sheff Utd on a break, and Kovacic cynically trips him. Corners look the best route to snatch a goal.
All I can see as a possibility today is Forest getting something against Man Utd. The latter have wind in their sails now, after a win against Villa, but they are not a good side. Nuno will have Forest fired up and they have some pace and ability to hurt Man Utd. Hereâs hoping.
This Villa side is really a throwback to the first decade or so of the PL, when the top 5 always had 1-2 semi-surprises and the other top sides didnât dominate games completely when they played a midtable side. Their talent level is solid but not stellar, and they can drop points any weekend - but win more often than not.
Great interception from Prickford, oh wait âŚ
2-0 Wolves
Get in Cunha. Wolves home form is petty impressive.
Grealish wasnât happy with his substitution in the 51th minute
Yup I mentioned it last week during the Wolves game, I think we are one of two to take a win there.
Burnley make it 2-2 with 10 men.
Goal kick to header to scorer. Not great defensive structure. He had a lot to do and it was a good finish, but very frustrating for Emery
Hojlund out with an âillnessâ
Probably fainted after finally finding the back of the net.
Odds on that it is the 'vids, but leagues in general are keeping that lowkey. Lots of players missing 4-5 days due to âundisclosed illnessâ in the NBA.
It is something of a page from the Owen-Shearer school of punditry, but Villa would be a better team if they scored more goals. Diaby has been really wasteful notwithstanding his goal, blazed several shots wide and high. Watkins is a useful forward, but perhaps not the right guy to be a primary threat.
Dude, you can stop rolling around, he already blew for a penalty. Foul, but I donât think there is a sniper on the roof at Villa Park.
Everton get battered, everywhere they go
Poor Kompany scratching his head, trying to understand why he doesnât get the calls he used to back when he was a player.
This week has veen great as they were starting to think they are a good side
U definately on form today
Are wolves really good or are just in a good moment?
They are an interesting side with, I think, an underrated level of talent. From top to bottom they are full of players who have made cases for themselves to be playing at a CL level or higher. Maybe Konsa is the exception, but other than that they have their best 12 or 13 players or so who either were linked to big clubs before singing for villa, or like Luiz, are credibly linked to title contending sides. A club like Villa might have normally been expected to have signed two or three of those players, but theyâve managed to fill their side with them. Of course, a lot of those players turn out to be Nicholas Pepe type signings rather than Leon Bailey, and so you still need to credit everyone at the club for having got it right so often and done well with the ones already at the club who werent performing at that level.
Just catching up wit the game and he can genuinely feel aggrieved today. Bergeâs second yellow was incredibly soft and Im still looking for where the contact was on the winning penalty.
