Thought Burnley should have had a penalty, Akanji holding the strikers arm and giving him a slight push in the back when he had been exposed. Burnley played pretty well but not too much of a challenge for City.
Thing that would concern me if I were Burnley is not heing able tonget Harwood-Bellis or Maatsen back - both were excellent last season.

Arsenalâs lineup is why you canât trust anything that happens in pre-season - looks like a completely different formation to anything they tried in the friendlies.

Itâs not that much different to what they played last season is it? Partey taking Zinchenkoâs role as the LB coming inside, Havertz as an 8 in place of Xhaka.

Why?
All pre-season theyâve used Timber at LB with White or Tomiyasu at RB. You are probably right that the system hasnât changed but they never tried this lineup or having Partey at full back.

The point about pre-season holds, but Partey was used in that role a number of times down the stretch last year when Zinchenko was missing.
These early starts are shite with the time difference, then itâs all over by mid-afternoon. Never feels like a full day of football.
At least it gives me an excuse to get blotto before breakfast - and itâs better than watching Champions League in the afternoon; thatâs just fucking perverse.
