Any idea who is unhappy about the financial rules?
Is it the clubs that have currently been deducted points?
Is it the clubs with unlimited wealth?
Is it the clubs that are having to deal with the unlimited funds clubs?
They would not bother to vote if there were a clear 8 clubs that were a firm No.
You can assume Everton and Nottingham were both firmly against. Loss-making clubs getting slapped over the financial rules being asked to give up more revenue.
Presumably Toon, having seen what City did they want leeway to do the same. Likely Chelsea, for different reasons - they dislike this particular set of regulations, not the idea of regulation. In the fall, those clubs were joined by Wolves, Burnley, and Sheffield United in slapping down the proposed ban on bringing in loan players from related clubs. That seems like a likely set again.
I do wonder on what legal authority the Government can order private businesses to give other private businesses money.
