Forest attacking and with the ball now and have but nothing is happening. Arsenal falling back well, then stretching their press, so Forest bounces back in their own half and then they eventually lose the ball. But there was a very slight tendency of something, I suppose. oooh, tackle and free kick. No blood and broken bones though.
Someone open the gates and release a few starved lions onto the pitch.
Edit: Oh, maybe an injury. I didn’t actually want a real injury, so feel slightly bad. Hope he is ok…
I am not entirely convinced they are - certainly, the ball is moving around quickly etc., but this feels a lot more like a game of paper-scissors-rock with the dumb kid who thinks nothing can beat rock. Forest aren’t adjusting to make things difficult for Arsenal, the only thing they are doing is making it difficult for Arsenal to get in behind them. But if you let them pass freely in your own 18, that isn’t that important.
Forest has done well this season by being a pain in the ass to play against, in particular clogging up the midfield. They just aren’t doing that today.
I suppose that should not be a surprise, I recall a few Wolves matches kind of like this under Nuno
Yeah, they are certainly not clogging the midfield and I suppose it is easy for them to keep the ball. But on the other hand I don’t really think they can cope with Arsenal’s quick passing in tight areas., which I find to be of rather high quality.
To be fair this is how they played against us for 70 minutes. They were a bit more defensively proactive in their half, meaning they kicked us when they had the opportunity to do so, but they didn’t do much more with it. The main difference is arsenal broke them down With a goal
They were not letting our midfielder play nearly as freely as Arsenal’s have been since kick-off. It is similar, but the ball pressure is significantly lower.
I don’t understand why commentators cannot bother to pronounce Ø in Ødegaard. It’s an easy sound, even if your primary language is English. A bit disrespectful to pronounce it as an O, after all this time. Hmpf.
