Premier League 2024/25 (Part 1)

They go through a period of these games we’ve got similar throughout the same period.

West Ham manager looks like my landlord’s handy man…

Also booked again… his favourite contribution.

What a free kick!

These two teams are pretty shit, though Bournemouth does have some pluck. Be really disappointed if we don’t put West Ham to the sword. They’re brutal.

They’ve got a few really good players surrounded by mediocrity

If they start that same midfield of Paqueta, Alvarez, and Soucek, we should run through them at will.

I rate Bowen and Kudus, but other than that…

Chelsea is become a bit worrisome. I am recalibrating my vile magic, using precious calves and a few “associates”, now that I am all out of goats and hen. Unfortunately, cattle is expensive, so there is a limit to how devastating the blood magic will be; unless the gods smile to me without such incentives, of course.

Sounds like a fun spell to try.

The Black Writhing
Causes thousands of black, wriggling roundworms, each
about six inches long, to generate within the target’s
digestive system, and pour out of their orifices, incidentally
causing death by suffocation.

vs Spurs

Referee: Sam Barrott. Assistants: Lee Betts, Wade Smith. Fourth official: Michael Oliver. VAR: Paul Tierney. Assistant VAR: Sian Massey-Ellis.

We had him vs Southampton, didn’t we? I think that was the one where we had a penalty given against us that looked outside the box.

TBH it’s when we get a relatively inexperienced ref with a VAR from “The Firm” that we tend to get problems. It’s like the old boys club want the up and coming guys to fail.

So, yes?

That ended up to be an interesting match

Shit Oliver and Tierney will leave their mark on us. They are Spurs 12th and 13th men.

We are moaning about 4th officials

I’ve seen a stat that of 15 games Tierney was VAR for us, we won 13 and drew 2.

That’s the sort of stat put forward by the “See, there’s no bias!” crowd. It doesn’t mean anything. How many contentious decisions have there been in those games, and what did he decide?

I wasn’t defending him per se, I was simply wondering if he’s a lot more of a Jon Moss-type in that regard, whether he’s just shite as a referee running in the middle but better with many screens around him.

I would be interested in that analysis too though.

Hé didn’t help us win these games we took it out of his hands by scoring a lot of goals otherwise he always wants to be the star of the show, Spuds hold no fear for us but the officials do the last time we played there we got loads of yellow cards and 2 sendings off and despite that we battled until the end with 9 men.

No only about who is reffing the game or in this case VAR, lines will be drawn in the wrong place to chalk off goals for offside as happened last year in the same ground. The 4th official will help the ref send off our manager and totally ignore his protests.
