Schar finds himself defending on the edge of the Villa box but cannot rob Rodgers of the ball. He then realizes he’s in a difficult position so far away from his own goal so pulls him back. Rodgers retains possession but in a pretty shit situation, but the ref says play on. Schar doesnt want that because of how far out of position he is so he pulls him again. Again play on. He finally pulls him enough for the ref to blow the whistle allowing him to recover with the ball not in play, and does so without being given a yellow card.
Whenever “controversies” over situations like Konate’s lack of a second yellow against Everton come up, understand it is a complete fabrication.

I think the referees have this sympathy to the no talent hacks whose only role is to get away with fouls.
They just refuse to give them cards.

Slow up a bit when you win the ball and then look to make the pass , preferably to the opposite flank instead of making your guys run like headless chickens.
