Premier League 2024/25 (Part 1)

Annoying to find Arsenal a touch closer, knowing fine well that the Merseyside derby isn’t a given three points.

Suits the media to have a premier league title race narrative, which they will rinse hard.

Feel like we’ve said it for the last few, but Brentford away feels like a must win. Fail there and the buffer could get a bit thin and likely cause a meltdown (i’ll remain calm).

I’m still confident that we have the sqaud quality and depth over Arsenal, who i genuinely see as our only rival. As others have said, their footy, a war if attrition, is unlikey to carry them to the title.

Newcastle are the other in form team, but without European football, you expect that with the sqaud they have. They look a dead cert to qualify for european footy next year and i suspect they will struggle a bit again, but also strengthen given their endless riches. Unfortunately, it won’t be more than a few years until they are genuine challengers.

There’s a title to be won…and we are rightly favourites.

its harsh, they’re doing the best they can with the level of intelligence they have, trying to do the right thing by the football community and impart what knowledge they have about the game to the viewer, make it entertaining as they can with thier unique type of humour…and ultimately, they have to keep talking, even though deep down they know they have run out of stuff to talk about

to put it in perspective…imagine we paid you for your content on here…

Everyone must strive to leave a legacy.

The outstanding work I do on TAN is mine, and actually, I pay for the privilege.

As a matter of fact…where are my nods and smiles?!

Where are they?!?!?!

WHERE??!!

That’s the smile sorted.

Not that there are ever easy points but given the form of the clubs, Brentford and Bournemouth away are going to be extremely difficult fixtures. Also, the small matter of a trip to Goodison. I wouldn’t be surprised if Goodison was the fixture where we, again, surrender the first spot but I hope that we’ll have much more left in the tank to last the distance regardless.

Brentford have won once since December 7th and concede an average of 2 goals a game at home. We should be gunning for them not fearful.

We’ve won only once there in the league since they got promoted (if I’m not mistaken), so I’m like that meme of a puppy with Vietnam memories whenever I think of that particular trip. This year hasn’t been the best for me so far, Liverpool only mirror that, so forgive me for being even more worried than usual…

We’ve only lost to them once since they got promoted- W5, D0, L1

I do have bad memories of that L1 also. It maybe sticks in the mind more than it should

I think a lot of us are falling into the trap of wanting other teams to win it for us, myself included.
While it’s normal to want other teams to take points off our main rivals sometimes you lose sight of the fact we are clearly the best side in the league and quite frankly we need to start going out there and taking what is ours.
We are not going to get any help off the PGMOL cheats and it remains to be seen how many points Arsenal drop between now and the end of the season so we have to look to ourselves to get over the line.

I wonder if TAN can get discounts for PTSD group therapy…

Pre-Traumatic Stress, in this case.

It’s also post traumatic when you consider the ratio between how many times we’ve been top at Xmas and how many times we’ve actually been champs.

We drew 3-3 so it’s 4 wins, 1 loss and 1 draw.

At but that ratio drops when you use New Year, oddly enough prior to the PL it was over 80/90% conversion.

We will have already dropped to second before the Everton match if this was case.

I need some amusement.

C’mon Soton!! You’re going down anyways…make tonight your last stand!!
