WOW, that red card for Arsenal was a terrible decision. This is one the fans will be justified in feeling hard done by. It was a textbook tactical foul on the edge of the opposition box to stop a break away, but oliver has given it a straight red for something that was no more than a trip.

Yeah, first few angles it looked like a bog standard ankle clip. There was one angle they showed from the direction of the Arsenal end though that showed the first contact was above the ankle on the standing leg in a stamping down motion. Not malicious, very clearly just tried to clip him and take the yellow, but itās a justifiable decision.

As a Liverpool fan that wasnāt a red card for Arsenal. However, they nearly got carried to a title by referees last year so maybe it does balance itself out.

I still take a draw. Wouldnāt surprise me if Arsenal still win this.
This really is the perfect red card. It was a good spot from the ref and so itās understandable the players and match going fans will feel they have been screwed. But it was legit. But because of their persecution complex none of them will be able to reflect on this and accept it, and the angst will continue to burn
