Hehe, the goal was a bit ā€œlolā€ though.

I doubt they can win (unless they now start offering something) because that ball in was more or less the first dangerous situation they created. But let’s hope something odd happens (this goal was a bit odd, so why not).

It does indeed. A pretty own goal on a ball into the box. Diaz kneed it in actually. Well done to him !

Just saw it, great finish.

i remember when we used to compare nunez to him

Let’s not. It was never fair to Nunez or very smart.

Stream is censoring brilliant goals scored by the enemy to allieviate pain and disappointment. Thank Stream gods.

Why we didn’t sign Haaland during his Salzburg days his beyond me. He was huge, quick when he faced us but chose to just sign Minamino who was also impressive but Haaland was scoring for fun even in the Champions League and was a no brainer.

I was thinking the same thoughts back then, but didn’t utter them very loudly since everyone on the forum was pushing Minamino as a coup and a ā€œbetter dealā€. But hindsight is just that. And his late agent was a fairly tough nail, one must concede.

Chased by everyone, he had the right to choose. He needed time to develop, and Dortmund was just the perfect choice.

I don’t think we have a chance with Haaland, Bellingham, and others with similar profile.

As we all know goal scorers are a rare breed. For his age he was unstoppable then nd think he scored like 4 goals against a CL side and scored in 4 games in a row. Terrific figures for. 18 year old he looked like a giant for his age.

Tht was the season after we signed Minamino - when we signed Minamino he was available as well for close to 18 and Minamino cost us 8 million.

Who else is gonna pay him £600k a week outside cheaty and a Saudi club?

I know, I have been following him closely from the start. I have seen his every Champions League goal both when he was in Salzburg and in Dortmund. He is unique and the most remarkable player from my country, by a wide margin. He is akin to Zlatan in his prime, just more deadly.

Yes and that’s a very good point. But he didn’t go to City for the cash only (he went to Dortumund to further develop from Salzburg, could have gone to bigger clubs, but had very good advisors), but because of family history. If that history was not there, I think we would have had a better chance, but more likely he had gone to maybe Real Madrid etc.

We had legendary trio at their peak, Halland picked Dortmund before they guaranteed play time and release clause, which we never provide for anyone. He chose the Club fit his career path. We surely never want to be a step stone for him.
