Getting in shape to take the everton job

And then he’ll relise things are SO bad he’ll start coping by binge-eating again.

What’s going on with Newcastle? There’s this moaning from Shearer of the club letting the coach down…what?? Did they expect more new players? Even though they aren’t allowed by FFP rules?

Spurs also floundering. There was this huge deal made about their back four being fully healthy and first choice this time. Fat lot good it’s done them. Beating this Everton doesn’t count.

There was a debate on skysports about whether they are starting this season as a worse team than last season. I thought they’d sold Isak on deadline day and I hadn’t seen it - then they flashed up the incomings/outgoings and the only players that left were Anderson, who barely played, and Minteh who was on loan in the Netherlands last season.

This was your mistake.

I assume they expect them to buy like a drunken sailor drinks.

Assume they are monitoring the City situation.

That or they’ve realised there is very little point in winning stuff and the ownership in itself does the job.

Newcastle vs Spurs was a contest of which defence could play worse. Of those two teams the only two that would make our team is Guimares and Son.

Sounds like a Portuguese version of Steptoe.

I think I’d rather the front three we had on Sunday.

On the bench I mean

Probably take Son of a year or so back.

The Son against Leicester and Newcastle would struggle to displace Almiron off their bench, nevermind Chiesa or Gakpro.

& Guimares couldn’t lace up Endo’s boots.

Yeah I tend to agree. Son in the first three games has been a sub par version of his past self. And Joelinton is playing far better than Guimaraes

The dirty secret of Newcastle is their success of 22-23 was earned the back of Miggy finding a streak of form people always felt he had in him but he’d never come close to realizing, and then returning to his Steve Bruce era levels last season and them not having enough depth of talent elsewhere to make up for that. People treated their come down last year as down to the stress of CL and injuries, but it was also in big part because they were already suffering from not being able to replace what he had produced the season before.

The loss of Tonali did play a part too.

He wasn’t there in 22-23 so his loss was just a loss of expectation not of contribution from the previous year.

At least if you consider decapitating goalkeepers playing well.

He’s got more to his game than that. He’s great at kicking midfielders and elbowing defenders as well

Anywhere else in Europe and we would, but UK favour Golas Scored over Goals Conceded.

But that won’t make any difference when we batter Cheaty home and away to leave them trailling us by 6 points
