Premier League 2024/25 (Part 1)

Awful match.

Arsenal are boring

All Haaland is is a target man

Fucking hell, Spurs haven’t found a single accurate pass this entire game.

Credit Saliba and Gabriel, they are perhaps the best CB pairing in the world right now.

Disappointed with them too. They’re dreadful in the final third

They know how utterly impotent Tottenham are and they also have a firm belief in their miserly defence and goalkeeper so they’re just basically sitting back and allowing Tottenham to give up the ball and then they may or may not counter-attack. Also probably missing Declan Rice and Martin Odegaard is making them not want to commit forward too much.

In a way yes, that’s all he needs to be when you’re surrounded by the luxury he has. His job is made very easy. If Halaand was in this Spurs side, he wouldn’t have it all that easy.

Just blow the final whistle here ref.

Werner, what a waste of space

Sterling as well

What’s Basque for “George Graham?”

Well that’s the top 4 pretty much done and dusted I’d say, probably in the order it’s in too.

It is not meant as a dig at them, but they are generally far more pragmatic than the common perception of them. some might be inclined to put that down today as being a response to not having 2 key midfielders, but we have seen a sense of a lack of bravery in their approach in several big games in recent years.

Depressingly true. Thought Arsenal might drop points today but they never looked in any danger.
Take McAllister and Gravenberch out of our midfield and we’re well and truly fucked.

Fucked or fourth?

I’d take that right now.
Not sure top 4 is anywhere near a certainty this season

Surely you lot are being rather pessimistic? This is a side that even with absolutely dire stretches without important players last season still only was one bad run away from missing out on the title by just one point.

We had a bad day, lost one game. No need to overreact.

Newcastle are shit & Joelinton’s a cunt.

Nice move by Wolves for the goal, seeing Larsen skin Burn for pace was hilarious but after that, a simple ball rolled across the box and a lovely dummy by Gomes for Lemina to tap in.

I had genuinely forgotten that Milenković would be starting for Forest yesterday. I’m bringing that up because I’ve been convinced for years that there’s a jinx regarding Partizan players, especially youth products, and Liverpool - the one who played for Liverpool really did a number on club’s finances and I can’t recall Liverpool winning many matches against teams that fielded former Partizan youth products. Maybe we won some games against Man City when Nastasić and/or Jovetić were in the team but I can’t quite remember. Will have to look that up.

Rafa triggered.

Perhaps if we had signed him then that jinx could have turned 180Âș

None playing for Bournemouth is there

Just noticed one of the subs for Newcastle was infringing on the pitch.

Tell the tosser to get off.

Also Jason Tindall can fuck off.
