Premier League 2024/25 (Part 1)

That’s a corker from Barnes. They’ve been 2nd best for 75mins, barely looking like scoring and then get a deflected goal from nothing to start the turning of this game on it’s head.

Suspect Gary O’Neill will be first manager fired this season.
The detail is lacking in the tactical organization of Wolves. Loose ends every where you look…

Wolves have been almost as bad as Everton and that takeover will delay any changes at Everton.

HahaBarnes

Would be a shame, I think he’s a decent coach. Pretty unlucky to lose here today, the better team for long periods of that game and concede to a deflected long range strike and an absolute screamer.

Au contraire. He is less than average. His team is serially not properly organized…

It was a properly thuggish tackle and had every bit the vibe of just trying to kick a player off the pitch the defense wasnt able to get a handle on any other way.

It was a poor tackle, we’re at that stage now where I’d like to see more being done to tackle these “fouls” with intent to injure especially when you can pick up a red for a lesser tackle (Mac/Virg) last season.

It’s why I’m 50/50 with the red that Stephens was shown on Garnacho, although he could carry on in the game (& even score), the intent behind it isn’t what you want to see to anyone.

Saddest thing I’ve seen since Titanic.

Poor Chris was put in an awful position.

His pay cheque from Abu Dhabi will soften the blow.

He was. He knew there would be a collective outrage from pundits who all forgot that they have spent years demanding this sort of cynical professional fouling be punished. He did the right thing. He did the thing the game has been demanding refs get better at identifying and punishing, and then found himself at the center of a totally fabracted controversy.

Totally agree with this

Well it’s actually technically correct.

Seems it’s been enforced in the past, just seen they’ve submitted losses of 90m in the last two years.

Football is just silly and the UEFA response to the Government regulator shows just how batshit crazy it is.

Well I found it funny….

He and the club are being pricks. They are using images someone found on twitter that are not the correct frame. The league have explained this to them behind closed doors and they are still running with it.

Imagine that, the club that’s being threatened with penalties if they get relegated because of their financial cheating trying every single thing they can to avoid getting relegated?
