Premier League 2024/25 (Part 2)

I actually wondered who it was coming on.

I didn’t recognise him.

But just imagine all the fume from their fans every week since then after thinking they were turning the corner. Worth it for 2 points

Beating them to the title is what matters. If they take heart from a 2-2 draw even though they lost 3-0 and their main rivals are about to equal their title count.

I’d take our position now every day, they’ve just become Everton.

Quick update despite us losing the title last week:

  • 6 points to win the title.
  • Arsenal need to outperform us by 13 points over the next 6 games, or 2.17 points per game.
  • If we draw all our remaining games, we win the league.
    • If we draw with Arsenal, we can afford to lose two of those games, i.e. 4 draws wins us the title (Arsenal would then only be able to finish on 79 points)

But we threw it all away losing to Fulham last week…

Alternatively, we could just beat Arsenal.

Even if we lost all our other games, that would still be enough.

A good time to be playing Leicester.

I take it you are inferring that Arsenal would to win all their games and hope we score at the max 5 points in the last 6 games.

A win at Leicester would be very nice now.

It’s been that way for the last 7 months.

Lost my hope of City missing out on CL football this weekend.

Stupid Chelsea can not even beat Ipswisch at home.

Expecting Chelsea to finish 8th and go back to Conference League.

Grogu or whatever that lad they bought from Lecce is called

Dorgu!!

Grogu might be a decent PL player if he used The Force judiciously. Technically, he could affect the match from the bench!

They will win the Europa Conference League so they have the Europa League to look forward to.

When it became 5 teams I think City missing out was unlikely,

Anyone else think the Geordies might be in the title conversation next season (if Isak stays)? They’ll have to tighten up defensively and be much more consistent, but they’ve got some seriously threatening players. Looked v good today, albeit against the worst Manc side in decades.

Thing that gets me is they they struggled when they moved to two games a week. They are a little hamstrung by fair play and really I assume are relying on Man City getting off lightly.

Man Utd could have been 2-1 at half time even though Newcastle had started bright.

Also that drop off of form between the quarters and final of the league cup seems rather odd for me.
