It doesn’t mention it in the article but I’d be shocked if the Premier League are not appealing that decision.
Man City throwing as much legal shit at the wall as they can to muddy up the waters ahead of a decision on their 115 charges. Joined by their little friends at Newcastle, Forest and Villa.
Seems the tribunal don’t care for the Premier League’s ability to self-govern.
Again the article doesn’t say it but I wonder if there is some nuance here. Like the Premier League doesn’t have the right to stop the club, as a business, from getting these sponsorship deals with their owners other companies but it also doesn’t mean that these fake sponsorship deals can be used to avoid PSR issues. There has to be some level of legal control the Premier League has on it’s membership.
This is why I’m hunting for more details on the judgement, but none of the coverage so far seems to provide that. I don’t think I’ve even seen any attempt at a legal analysis.
Yeah same, journalists don’t have the level of expertise on legal issues to comment but they all rush out the story anyway.
By the time someone thinks to ask a lawyer what it means the narratives will already be set and Man City fans will be doing the conga that they can go back to cheating.
Arsenal are so down to bare bone today they are forced [checks team sheet] to play a side that would arguably be his preferred from goal all the way through midfield.
Seeing Sterling makes me realize that the massive grudge I held against him for years is gone - I simply just don’t care about him anymore. Funny how time heals…
Is this a bad time to confess I never really minded Van Nistelrooy? It helps that I mainly associate him with the Netherlands and Real Madrid. And at United he seemed like one of the more mild-mannered ones amongst a gang of cunts.
Cue someone to post some horrendous story of him that I wasn’t aware of.
His knee high challenge on Cole in one of those volatile Arsenal games is one of the worst most shit housey things I’ve ever seen of a top level professional. Especially from someone whose career was once in such jeopardy from a knee injury. It did seem out of character for him though.
