Premier League 2024/25

But this is quite normal human psychology if you are a fan, and maybe not an indictment in itself, I think. Resenting the success of the Top Dog is normal.
People on this forum always hope Everton lose too, after all and Liverpool is Top Dog in the city of Liverpool.

I will speak for myself - I donā€™t always hope they lose as much as I hope they get relegated.

Spurverton?

Heā€™s not even the best Chelsea striker in PL history!

Mateja Kezman wants to see you outside.

Haha, Mutu definitely got done for coke, iirc Chelsea sacked him and he ended up getting fined about Ā£15m, probably the most expensive line in history lol

No idea on Kezman thoughā€¦

Kezman has pledged to become a Monk one day.

Unpopular to say something before Christmas, I guess. But, I am now convinced that we will win the league. We can afford either a shorter total collapse or very uneven form over the rest of the season. I think the chances of both happening are very slim.

So sayeth my crystal ball !

Donā€™t do it to yourself, mate.

We wonā€™t.

Expect nothing and you wonā€™t be disappointed.

I am usually very cautious and wary, but even so, I would be very surprised if we donā€™t. City is having a terrible season, they are in actual problems, there is a lack of harmony and their system is not working properly (oh, I think they will vastly improve later on, but I do think it will be too late by then). Arsenal, I donā€™t think can catch us and I also donā€™t have faith that Chelsea can go on such a long victorious run necessary to catch us.

Because to not win, we must collapse and other teams must go on a very long victorious run. I am really not a naive optimist and I would not bet life savings on this; but I think the chances are incredibly high. But usually, i warn people like you do now
Iā€™ll take the humiliation and the fall, if we donā€™t

Alternatively, the refs can fuck us over.

As they do every year.

I know you think so, but there are limits to that, even if they are after us. If we play well and score on chances, there is only so much a ā€œhostileā€ ref can do and get away with his job.

Your naivety is almost charming.

Anyway, here are the latest title odds:

Iā€™m barred by the company offering 17-2 about Manchester City, so I have taken the 8s.

They are just normal men with some football knowledge.

I am not, as I use proper magic and offer up dark rites to the gods.
Why do you think City are having problems ? Could itā€¦perhapsā€¦have something to do with the latest news concerning the inexplicable loss of a thousand young goats here in Norway, as well as the disapearance of a not inconsiderable number of hen from various poultry farms around the country ?
Maybe, but I am not telling. Officially anyway.

I disapprove of any title claims before April. We have two tough away games coming up. We could lose four points by this time next week. Then our lead doesnā€™t look so impregnable.
Of course weā€™re all caught up in the excitement of the last couple of performances, but no matter how much you might dislike him, Arteta was right, every team has a bad patch and we will have ours too.
Of course Iā€™m very happy with how things are going, but predicting a title at this stage is premature, and we all know what disappointment that leads to.
