Premier League 2024/25

Petulant, shite club with players with discipline issues who like injuring others. Goalkeepers well capable of a brilliant howler.

Which club is he talking about?

When we come out of the December onslaught we inevitably get an injury pile up and that has been the reason 9 times out ten for our drop off. Hughes will have to start earning his corn by helping Slot with recruitment in the January transfer window to plug the holes left by both the injury list and the potential departees.

What?? Nonsense. There is no such rule. What about when we won it with Jurgen? We literally didnā€™t let up until we had a 23 point lead.

Jesus Christ what a bunch of Debbie Downers. Youā€™d think weā€™ve lost to Citeh!

IF we get injuries we deal with it. Right now we are in decent shape. Chin up and enjoy.

What is worrying about negative possibilities going to do? Absolutely fuck all. Donā€™t get carried away planning the parade yet but just enjoy the moment!

That draw at Old Trafford in the autumn was pretty harrowing.

That was purely down to us not believing in ourselves

If we win all our games through December and January and into mid Feb then I canā€™t really see it going anywhere else.

Because thatā€™s effectively what we did.

This just isnt true. Were we to, for example, lose to Arsenal and Chelsea and then just draw two games due to refs/poor finishing/fluke goals etc then weā€™d have dropped more points than we lead by. Doesnā€™t need to be a ā€˜collapseā€™ when there are twenty fucking five games and seventy fucking five points still to play for.
Weā€™re in a great position but there is no way this title is decided

Yeah, fully agree on this. This is the most decorated club in England, yet a lot of times they played against Man United, especially at Old Trafford, itā€™s like their feet got tied up. The total record against them isnā€™t greatā€¦ Although Klopp did pretty well improving it (should have added another win had Valenciaā€™s cross for Ibrahimović been correctly deemed offside).

Thatā€™s why I was so happy about the manner of our latest victory there. Over the last 20-25 years, I actually canā€™t remember many matches against Man United where Liverpool were deemed favourites, let alone the ones where they were deemed favourites by media and/or fans and won. Players didnā€™t lose their heads, itā€™s like they took out all the emotion out of it (aside from Trent doing his Stevie tribute - I loved it, I wish he could repeat it in a Liverpool shirt), they were completely focused and professional. We lacked that in throughout 2019, 2020 and especially in 2023/24.

Still, Iā€™d take the extrapolation of our record against them from last five years over the next fifty years. Since 2019/20, one league loss and two FA Cup losses, four league draws, six league wins.

True, I suppose. 11 points is still fairly significant though, but yes, very early.
But anyway, i have looked into the crystal ball ::smile:

Did you also see that Putin got Putout and Trump got trumped?

Unfortunately, that is beyond my skill. They are protected by dark powers that shield them from my scrying

I expect that Virgilā€™s knee will get dismantled again with oliver looking on just like heā€™s done before and waving away any protests and his mate will be avenged.
