Shame about Everton though. I wanted them to get points off Chelsea.
Even though I am miserably unhappy about our form and league placement and lost faith in the manager, I still hope for Top 4.
And then Everton getting points would have been much better for us.
I don’t think we realisticallly stand a chance at Top 3, but I do think we can get Top 4, maybe 3 if Villa collapse !!!
(I actually don’t know if whaling was ever a significant industry in the UK. Investigating that seems like it will be more interesting than Arsenal v Wolves)
Wolves had a decent chance or two to get a goal there. I hate this! A bit of hope, but at the same time, I’m fully expecting an early second half Arsenal goal, followed by a couple more.
(I’m trying a bit of reverse psychology on the universe).
Have you ever taught a kid to ride a bike? Sometimes you’ll get them to a point where they can get going but don’t really know how to control anything. They end up just crashing at full speed into whatever is in front of them, often screaming “I can’t stop”.
Villa are only 4 points ahead of us and there are 21 games to play, they are defentiely catchable. Hell, even City with a 5 point lead are still theoretically there for the taking.
Absolutely true, but it means that our team would then have to fundamentally change, because we would need to play consistently better than Villa and City. If we had a more normal season, I would be more positive as to out chances there, but our team hasn’t had any real shape (mostly) this season.
But 4th is well within reach. But even then we have to improve a lot. Getting the odd win isn’t enough, we need to find form and become consistent on a high level.
