Hmm, Fulham and Bournemouth both have a player sent off with studs up challanges. Crazy to tackle like that.

Three weeks from the season’s end and here I am, hoping that Bournemouth and Brighton will fail to win one of their respective remaining three matches each, so that we can limp to fifth spot and salvage at least something from this wretched season. Andersen hasn’t done me any favours with that tackle.

Fantastic set of results for our CL prospects. Not.

Ball floated in to Brobbey at the back post. Shaw turns his back to the ball to square up face to face with the attacker. He puts both arms around Brobbey and drives him backwards preventing him attacking the cross. No foul and VAR agreed.

This wasn’t a battle for position for two people challenging for a loose ball. This wasn’t a defender cleverly standing his ground preventing the forward getting a good leap. It was a defender playing American football. No pen.

It seems exactly like the one on Monday, apparently they’ve dropped the most points from winning positions.

We are one behind with a load of others which probably demonstrates why the battle for 4/5 is so open.
