For those who expect Brentford to beat us:

We are 4 points ahead of Bournemouth and our GD is +6 better atm.

They play City at home on Tuesday and travel to Forest on Sunday.

So worst case scenario we can afford would be something like

Bournemouth vs City 1-1
Liverpool vs Brentford 0-1

Forest vs Bournemouth 0-4

I doubt GD will be an issue here.

I think if Bournemouth draw that would be enough and if it isnā€™t then that should end any notion of Slot staying. Sadly it wouldnā€™t. As they are my second team and we are going into next season with more of the same (considering news of getting extra staff in, which in itself is totally baffling) then I couldnā€™t care less if we donā€™t make it. Weā€™d still be crap. He needs to go for it to be anything more.

If we finish 5th do we have to play a knock out round then before the CL starts proper?

Villa wins the EL on Wednesday.
We beat Brentford.
City beats Villa.

That would mean 6th place in the League would also qualify for CL. And as things stand thatā€™s still possible for Bournemouth, Brighton and Chelsea.

Right?
