Forrest, together with Burnley and Wolves, are my favorites to go down.

Sucks that it’s not the red side of the Merseysiders beating Palace.

Adam Clearly posted a video on how they were unbeatable.

Possibly Thursday nights having an impact.

Haaland unstoppable again.

City win today and they are right back in the running for the title again.

Rodri injured again ?

This is infuriating. He could just walk off. This whole sitting down thing to let the physios come on who will do nothing but walk off beside him is such obvious time wasting I don’t get why refs allow it

Edit “infuriating” was a bit strong :joy:

Donna so nearly dropped a last minute bollock there

Routine 1-0 win for City at a difficult ground. never looked like conceding, in fact I’m not sure the keeper had a save to make.
Contrast that to the 90 minutes of sheer fucking panic we are subjected to every away game when we’re waiting for the next defensive brain-fart as buses are driven through our back 4 with great regularity.
Depressing.

That also felt like half of Klopp’s seasons.

Surprised that Arse is not on top of all kinds of delay tactics (guess what, they are second in the delay in taking corner category.)

Our match against Newcastle at St James Park was the lowest ball-in-play match - 45:55 of 109:24. Next was Chelsea vs Brighton with 46:44 of 105:14.

The argument has always been that the league cannot unilaterally disarm relative to the rest of europe, which is what strict spending limits would be seen as. Especially those tied to the lower earners. But the prem has become so much richer than the rest of the Europe that the argument largely falls away.

I dont see it happening, at least not as suggested there, but it will be interesting to see where it goes

Was just listening to Jamie O’Hara talk about this subject. I’m sure you will all be shocked to hear he had nothing intelligent to say on the matter.

In the example of my other great sporting love (Aussie Rules), a salary cap (and draft) works pretty well. A shit club like mine (Carlton) can do some astute planning and be top of the table within a few years. That said, the AFL is an entirely closed eco-system…it’s not competing against another 6 AFLs elsewhere.

Will watch this discussion closely.
