Premier League 2025/26

Is that true though ? I think they have had marked improvement under Thomas Frank.

I’ve always found Frank’s football to be boring so I have a bias opinion, he’s sacrificed a lot of their quick counter attacking and high turnover possession football for this bland boring crap to prioritise being defensively stable.

That’s an opinion I respect.

Not to go on about negativity on our side, but that’s one of the very few issues I had with our title winning season last year. I thought we played a bit boring footie tbh. But it worked, so shrugs, couldn’t even complain and I never did. Winning is better than not winning after all.

I’m more coming round to use it for minimal purposes, if you must have a challenge system for anything else. Maybe even just one.

Offsides are offsides and check to make sure goal line tech works.

What a game.

Unbelievably shit. Vicario Spurs’ best player for the 4th game in a row.

Simons is a dud, Kudus doesn’t look much better. Kolo Muani will be playing for Pisa next season.

It takes a special kind of shit to have a home side xG of 0.05.

I was a little bit off.

We are back to third after the Villa game…

18 points after 10 games. 22 more needed to beat relegation.

IT’S. ON.

Doing the same for England, impresses me but that means nothing

Table is so congested besides Arsenal set piecing themselves away with it and Wolves dooming themselves away to the championship.

If results go as expected tomorrow (& Monday), 4 points will separate 12th from 2nd.

Probably why a run you expect would see us fall in the bottom half saw us only fall to about 7th.

It’s a moulin rouge joke. John Leguzamo sings a song about a magical sitar that can only speak the truth

Also helps that we’d won the previous 5 in a row. If we can get something against Cheaty, then we’ve got 8 winnable games against Forest, West Ham, Sunderland, Leeds, Brighton, Tottenham, Wolves and Leeds. Pick up 18-20 points from that lot and we’re firmly in the CL places and still in with (an outside) shot at the title heading into the new year.

Shades of 2020/21 when we thought we were positioned well to defend the title, only to shoot ourselves in the foot with our centre back situation, allowing a strong but not perfect Man City side to walk to the title. It’s a shame that a side relying almost exclusively on set-piece specialists, though probably the best the game has ever seen, will walk to the title this season.

I agree entirely that Arsenal have one hand on the trophy, but I’m not willing to say they’re walking it yet. One bad week for them when we win and it’s 4 points, and I refuse to believe that we don’t have the quality to hunt them down.

All of that said…BIG FUCKING WEEK COMING UP!!

What a hit by Bowen, that’s incredibly unlucky.

Then Murphy goes down the other end and scores, oh dear. Nobody within 50 yards of Guimares, their new LB who’s name I shall not name turned inside out, what a sham.

Bowen winning a pen…or does he? Thiaw looks like he gets nick on the ball first…overturned, you actually see the contact on the ball clearer in full speed.

Paqueta free kick saved onto the post by Pope, one of those where he makes a meal of it but also simulteanously turns out to be a good save.

Potts wins the ball. Tonali is late and gets the worst of the contact as a result and somehow gets the free kick :man_shrugging:

Glorious strike from Paqueta.

Miss seeing those goals in the league, questions mark over Pope there. The decision to flap it away moreso than attempted save…it looked like a simple catch.

It was bad. He easily made up the ground but dived over it
