Premier League 2025/26

Loved this bit:
“From the introduction of the club’s pre-match anthem to installing speakers at the training ground, the Gunners manager isn’t afraid to push changes and try new things.”

Anything but actually evolving the tactics on the pitch.

I knew this was landing, he mentioned it yesterday.

Where are United? 5th?

Yeah 5th. You’ll like his banter - he reckons Patrick Bamford will be first manager sacked, he’s tipping Sheffield United to go down and I’ve only watched the first 10 mins. Oh and he favours Man Utd for the CL..

LFC aside, in a football sense I’ve never wanted something more than I want Yanited to have 3 points from their first 6 games.

The Graun have just published our preview:

Predicted to finish top, which I suppose is to be expected. I don’t actually think the finished squad is in place yet. We’ll see in the next few weeks.

Is Patrick Bamford a manager?

Literally everyone is predicting Liverpool will finish top, as if they want to put a jinx on the club!

No but that’s the point. He also said ‘Man Utd to win the CL’

Ah right.

Absolutely hilarious. One of the BTL comments summed it up nicely …

For anyone wondering. This is what early onset dementia looks like.

He did quickly correct himself and had been drinking, in fairness. What it really showed to me is how little preparation/work is put in by him (and others) when they post their videos. It was supposed to be something done once per year but it looks like he’s not arsed spending more than the length of the video doing it in a single take. Not even editing out the beginning and the end while raking in cash and touting product endorsements. And he’d be one of the more ‘professional’ ones…

Rodrygo being considered by Manchester City according to Romano.

I have not seen anything reliable on it, but saw lots of city fans online complaining that they are supposedly trying to get rid of the young brazilian kid who’s only been there a year. Going for Rodrygo might help connect those dots.

Yeah. Spurs are supposedly making a move for Savinho, while City are also offloading McAtee to Forest and Grealish to Everton, so there’s enough room in the squad for someone like Rodrygo.

How do the City Football Group get around this? The above article says the threshold for decisive influence is a 30% share, whilst the CFG have a 47% share of Girona.

Regardless, Palace can go fuck themselves after yesterday’s minute of silence.

I havnt read that piece to see if it mentions it, but supposedly Palace were required to submit a formal argument for why the restrictions did not apply to them and they missed the deadline. It has been reported that they did so because the requests coming to them from UEFA went to a joke email address Palace’s customer service team gives out to people who want to complain about something.
