Premier League 2025/26

Reading the HYS section on the BBC article about it was hilarious. The numpties out in force.

So many people expecting us to do it again

I really don’t see it myself. If I’m honest. CL I can see us doing well the way it’s spread out.

Don Hutchinson absolutely stealing a living

What exactly is the criteria for these media companies identifying their ā€œexpertā€ talent? Because whatever it is, it is fucking stupid.

They are just predicting the same top 5 again. Pretty lazy punditry really. I’m not sure about Arse but Cheaty will be much more competitive this season and I don’t see them 3rd.

Any reason why they’ve relegated wolves…

Because they aren’t all that good? I think the promoted clubs won’t have it all their own way when it comes to being relegated.

I’m surprised to see Bournemouth placed tenth. They have now lost three of their defence from last season, so they might struggle. As might Brentford, of course. Also wouldn’t be surprised to see West Ham in relegation trouble due tight-fisted owners and having Graham Potter as manager.

I gave them Burnley, but your version would be FAR more enjoyable.

They’d be talking about titles, only to smash themselves on the immovable object that is Scott Parker.

I’m surprised the optimistic score is that high for Brentford. To have had the season they had last year after the loss of Toney was a show of a club that had more about it than it seemed. To ask them to do it again next year after losing their remaining 2 forwards, CM anchor and manager is an enormous ask. They have to be one of the biggest shouts for relegation.

Right chaps…cast your minds back to Shitty winning the PL…sky showed the light blue in every advert…we won the PL last season…and every advert still shows the light blue, in the main…and we get a brief glimpse of LFC…I know sky have their favourites…but this light blue shitty team on my tv really pee’s me off…when will we be the main point of view in their adverts…anyone else feel a little cheesedoff, pee’d off…and peeved…

It’s nice that they’re all saying Liverpool, but I don’t agree. We’ve had a significant turnover in players and it’s bound to take them a while to settle, especially the defence. I can imagine us dropping points in the early part of the season which may be too many to make up. There’s not much between the top four, and there are a lot of good teams which can cause upsets along the way.

I understand our own skepticism/pessimism about our own chances, but I dont think there is another 90 point side in the league this season.

I suspect the pressure and failure to build on recent challenges will see Arsenal go backwards. I’m not convinced by the changes City have made and think there are questions to answer about how much Pep still has in him. Chelsea are a basket case of a club. Maybe Utd and Spurs will be more able to take points of the top clubs this season.

I think we could afford to get off to a slower start than last season and still dominate.
