It’s boring overcoached football by Arteta. Players need to be able to take some calculated risks. Arteta just is coaching the life out of them by the meaningless recycling of possession. Possession for the sake of it is idiotic.
I’d still prefer a draw, even though having six points advantage would be massive, even this early. Liverpool still have to go to both Etihad and Emirates (this sounds a bit funny when put together).
You are right, a draw is probably on average safer. But even so, a point is a point so it’s still not a bad result for us.
But of course, we cannot lose too many games if City find super form.
Regarding lack of very many chances, that actually has something to do with “boring Arsenal”. They are not easy to cut through, since they are not very often unbalanced.
But I liked watching Arsenal more, a couple of years ago when they were a bit more rapid.
They have certainly started this half the better team and Artetas changes seems to have worked. So far.
I have watched City just twice this season (full games), but I don’t think they have a good enough midfield to win the title tbh. Their defense is not the best, obviously, but they don’t create enough either really.
But I may be wrong, having only watched them twice . And of course, Arsenal away is very, very strong opposition. But still.
Checked the stats now, and I do think I have a point.
