I have watched City just twice this season (full games), but I don’t think they have a good enough midfield to win the title tbh. Their defense is not the best, obviously, but they don’t create enough either really.
But I may be wrong, having only watched them twice . And of course, Arsenal away is very, very strong opposition. But still.
Checked the stats now, and I do think I have a point.
This game is a clear illustration of the argument that he was not a good signing for them…in a game where arsenal have a lot of the ball and struggling to create openings he is offering nothing. With space to run into he’ll run the channels well, but in games like this arsenal are essentially playing with 10 players.
It’s glorious
This generation of strikers is actually at it’s lowest in football history.
There’s about 5 top strikers in the world, luckily 2 of them play for LFC.
Thats what annoys me about refs hes just given 2 soft fouls on Saka an identical one on Doku nothing.
Yet how many top, ones did we find this summer?

Pep got a yellow…
Plenty of strikees would do a better job for arsenal than gyokeres.
No pace. No physicality. Doesn’t hold up the ball well at all. Only thing he’s good for is running into channels. That might have worked in the Portugese league but won’t work against the better teams.
Linders…feeding Pep…all the wrong info…undercover LFC
Didn’t work against the better teams in Portugal stats wise hes a flat track bully. This is illustrated here too goals against Leeds and Forest.
Pep took off his best defender in Haaland
Arsenal could have gone for Osimhen , Nunez and instead they went for this bum.
Pep going full Arteta, oh wait

Guardiola with a pure shithousery masterclass here. Openly mocking Arteta.
Calafiori trying to recreate his “mis-hit cross into the top corner cutting in from the left against City” from last September and almost hits the corner flag ![]()
Edit: It was actually a pretty nice goal watching it back now, fair 'nuff. This one was nowhere near.
Arsenal out of ideas
Stones is coming on, this is straight Mourinho from Pep. If it was in any doubt, we are in the end days, folks. ![]()
Gvardiol looks like he’s preparing to play a Persian prince in a historical epic.
They never had anything beyond play for the corner.
Then stands looking at the 4th official…with his hands in his pants..
Surprised at how well O’Reilly’s played here…
