They had one big chance in the entire game they werenât robbed. They just didnât have the ability or knowledge of how to play against a 10 man Man Cit Also the red card was a joke, perhaps using the 30 mins between that and the goal to do something. They hit the post on a free kick that was it.
There is video which shows the ball hitting both arms before going inâŚso looks like they got that one right.

Maino hit the post later in the second half as well, but that again was a shot from outside the box. I dont think they created a clear cut high quality chance other than the injury time effort Mbuemo really should have scored from.

Except it wasnât the VAR footage. It was another case of âI reckonâ where they got lucky for a change.

What @RedWhippet said. That footage came afterwards from tactical cameras that werenât part of VAR. So, they basically guessedâŚand they got lucky.

Rashfordâs freekick that also hit the left post. Donnarumma wouldnât have saved that either.
And if they gave the goal that video would then have been used as further evidence of their incompetence.

Ah I forgot that but with Rashford they were long shots there was no massive pressure on the City goal. They produced what youâd expect they would have done if they had 11 v 11 at home.
When behind they seem to go letâs throw Maguire up. Itâs worked more than it should but still itâs very low level desperation. Not a tactic they should go to every match.

Iâve been watching this game since the 60 minute mark and whilst Newcastle have been down 4-0, they have dominated Leeds. Must have been a hellavu first 60 for Leeds.
I turned off at half time but in the first half Leeds battered them. They were well worth the lead. It looks like they might have turned off a bit, understandably

I do feel much more would have been made of this had they awarded that goal and a whole lot more âgotchasâ, not that these incompetent fools care. However they did get it right. Lucky, but right.
