Agreed on how different players get away with things and Rice has now got away with 2 things because of who he is and as you said Macca Or Grav wouldn’t get away with it.
Regarding snide, their player was the 1st one with snide/late bump, not saying it condones Rice’s actions, but it still was a cheap shot.
I would prefer to be on the end of that kick than a late dangerous tackle i.e Van Der Ven on Isak, for me there are levels and dangerous tackles that could easily cause injury are far worse than what Rice did.

That’s not true. He was sent off not long ago but the ref apologized on the pitch.

It should have been a free kick for Rice, no booking for Yalcouye. Rice’s retaliation was a minimum of a yellow card but he couldn’t have argued if he was sent off.
If rice gets the freekick surely that means he was ‘attacked’ off the ball and surely the punishment has to be at least a yellow for the other player?
I don’t really see any logic in the idea that you can initiate things and not get at least a yellow if the Rice guy gets one.
If anything the guy who initiates it should get punished more, otherwise you’re encouraging it to get a rise out of players and get them sent off

Now, as to this particular incident yesterday, The initial contact was late, and clumbsy - at most a yellow card. Rice’s reaction was to turn around, chase the guy before kicking him - that is violent conduct with intent so easy red card.

That type of contact happens all the time off the ball, sometimes its seen and punished sometimes its not.
What usually doesn’t happen is the guy who gets nudged goes running after that other player to try and boot them.
That City game looks crazy fair play to Sunderland for not letting themselves get spanked after going behind which was often the case for the last decade by teams who set up for a 3-0 loss.
Sunderland gave away a few soft goals and could have scored more, so City are there for the taking defensively.
