RIP First Football King Pelé

I don’t think it takes anything away from Pele that he learned from others, voraciously so. He wasn’t the best dribbler on that Brazil team, but watching and playing with Garrincha was a big part of how he became such an incredible player. In 1958, it was his shooting combined with pace, power and ball control at speed that made him stand out, but he was still very much developing (17 when he won his first World Cup! Mind-blowing). As he added passing and supremely evasive dribbling, he crossed over into unstoppable.

I like Pele and all, but seriously Infantino is kind of an idiot.

Taking a selfie alongside Pele in his coffin…!!!

Fucking cheek of this guy, who is he to dictate to governments what they should do.

The countries will decide how they want to honour Pele (if at all.)

I’m sure Brazil will do more than most and so they probably should.
