Yeah Im emotional after yesterday, and Im sure others will be able to identify other players, but I just dont remember a player that plays so simply. At his best he just plays the simplest of what is on, and it baffles other players, because of the expectation for flair and showmanship which is so prevalent in the game.
Beardsley, maybe, but he was not a patch on what Bobby is.

I see Beardsley as a much better version of Benayoun in terms of style. Bobby is again a different type. Very rare, also in a different era. Probably the best connector of all Liverpool forwards for who knows how long… maybe since Kenny?
