Russian War Crimes (Part 1)

So… You’ve got the likes of US invading a country on false pretenses (Iraq and WMD , that haven’t been proven)…and tend to find offense on territorial disputes ?

yeah US fostering Osama and their shit doesn’t count…

The point is . the west taking the higher moral ground or so called higher moral ground just pisses me off

Can I find offense on both? This happens to be the thread about Russia trying to get a war kick started.

The raw intelligence was manipulated by Rumsfeld , Cheney et al to make Bush (and Colin Powell) believe the threat was real. Blair was already all in and so was easily persuadable.

This US doesnt care because of morality. It cares because of geopolitics.

As opposed to US and its allies invading a country on the pretext of that particular country having WMD ???

All the time showing that their leaders lied

You’re screaming about Y again, without addressing X. I agree with you… but does that give Russia a pass to invade Ukraine?

It doesn’t , but does it again give the likes of US and their allies to spread their propoganda full on ?

As i suspect in this issue , the war will be someway in between

I’m not sure how revisionist it is. I remember at the time, they were showing pictures of mobile nerve agent dispersing/manufacturing trucks or whatever and that somewhere there were all these centrifuges and all the time I was thinking, “surely no one will fall for this rubbish”, but there you go, people did fall for it.

I think the rest is correct, that they wanted to have a secure and strategic base from which to launch operations against terror networks.

Just the pretext was all rubbish. Felt so sorry for Colin Powell dithering on at the UN with all that “evidence” and lost a lot or respect for him thereafter.

Ideology and politics are right up there with religion as completely mental inventions of the human psyche. Then we create laws and structures where ordinary people on one side invade and destroy ordinary people on the other side because of orders or jobs.

The whole point , also the elephant in the room is that US and by default the cronies (Nato_) are more responsible for the shit that’s been flying throughout the world than anything else

The US funded Al Qaida , They’ve fostered Taliban …

And then you can’t admit that their actions don’t have a repercussions later

nah , It cares where it can sell their weapons for…and who they can make their puppet states , all the while proclaiming how "democracy"is the right way to go…

Keep on propping up military states and keep on propping up terrorist regimes, who cares

On that score, I can tell you that the flimsy nature of the evidence when really tested was why Chretien to deploy Canadian troops with the mission to Afghanistan, but despite significant pressure from the US declined to do so for Iraq.

:joy:  Not sure looking at what’s happeing how I’d hold the US and NATO responsible for Putin’s decisions :upside_down_face:

It’s pretty well documented that Powell vetoed much of what the Cheeney team wanted him to present at that UN meeting because he knew it was BS. He then gets to the meeting and finds that the fuckers have inserted it into the presentation anyway. The decision he made at that point was an unfortunate one to say the least.

We now have the pretext for war

It does actually lead to that. There’s a whole lot of proxy warfare which happens and leads to this end result…

I’ll give you an example , There was a 1971 war between India & Pakistan over the freedom fight for Bangladesh. You can read it up and gauge for yourself what happened… I’ll refer “Blood Telegram” , search it out in wikipedia and you’ll know what people have faced over there and how US has turned a blind eye because of political issues etc

bullshit. US , despite everything won’t even make a step forward. Putin has called the bluff
