It might just have been made problematic by timing though. It could be her saying, âIâm stronger than Macron and will be a more effective counterweight to Russian influenceâ. Iâm just reserving judgment because there are plenty of photos of politicians shaking hands with Putin and looking like theyâre great mates.

Oh, definitely. But the fact that her party has extensive ties to Russian entities points to why they donât want to have 1.2 million copies of that flyer circulating.

The other thing that photo makes me wonder is how tall Putin really is. Le Pen is 1.71 meters apparently, 1 cm taller than Putinâs claimed height. Maybe serious heels?

Putin did visit Beijing to sign some deals to fund his war effort. Probably Putin was there to tell PRC that he will start a war after the olympics.
As for the ROC, the fears of war is there but not heightened. I personally have been to Taiwan for a military exercise and their conscripts are not too shabby.
