My gut feeling is that the fairy tale phase is coming to an end. Russians are getting better organized, their broader operational plan is moving ahead, and Russian numerical advantages are grinding the Ukrainians down. Lots of attention paid to startling Russian losses, but it is a Battle of Britain situation - the invaders can trade at 3 to 1 and come out ahead in fairly short order.
I am a bit tired and not able to collect my thoughts and answer in a very meaningful way. The real answer is that I don’t know, I would just speculate. Now, I am usually good at speculating and drawing logical threads, but tired now. Just slept 4 hours.
And with that, I think I want to just wish everyone a good day and retreat for some hours. The video I just posted was kind of mentally taxing too tbh.
Think we need to see some of the oligarchs die ‘unforeseen’ deaths. That will get their attention. Personally I can’t believe the UK (for eg) didn’t start retaliating in kind immediately after the Salisbury novichok scandal.
I did actually think of that one first. However the lands of the Noldor and the Edain weren’t really conquered and there was hope for them thereafter although I suppose it was them to be attacked first in the Dagor I guess, whereas they attacked Morgoth in the Nirnaeth. After the Nirnaeth however, it was all but over for the Elves and Men and all their remaining kingdoms fell one by one until the coming of the Valar. So unless NATO decides to play the part of the Valar, the towns and cities are likely to fall one by one until there is nothing left of the Ukraine
