How much do those things weigh ?
I think they’re like 15-25kgs. Not too heavy.
(the NLAW weigh 12.5kgs)
The US Javelin is 22.3kgs
Wikipedia says the Swedish AT4 weighs only 8kgs, which seems very light. Wonder if that is armed?
Yeah, they would use nukes most probably if they really were losing on own territory though. Right now they could certainly not fight.
Another aspect is that Russian reserves are very deep when switched to war economy.
Please search and use wikipedia, mate.
Is it too much to hope for that this misadventure could spell the end for both Putin and Lukashenko ?
That’s what you have assumed (as planned). We have lulled you into a false sense of security.
i don’t know. But I think Russia must lose badly for that to happen. We are far from there yet I think.
Reports that children in Mariupol have died of dehydration.
I think it’s worth repeating the significance of Mariupol. It really is the town russia wants to destroy and the one certain Ukrainian elements want to defend. It’s going to be a nightmare. A catastrophic blood bath have no illussions we will probably see horrendous war crimes from both sides here.
storming of Mariupol. Defenders earlier today demined for civilian evac, Russia used this to launch attack !
Vectors, east and north
Which begs the question - if the elements of the Russian armed forces that have seen recent action are performing this poorly, what is the actual readiness and reliability of their deterrent force?
Exactly. How often does Russia carry out nuclear launch testing? I recently bought my kids a stomp rocket - I’m currently more afraid of that than anything Russia has.
