The government match every pound donated to the DEC so that’s £2 million. Agree that it could and should be bigger.
I’m honestly baffled as to what the holdup is. Putting a bullet in his head is not super likely to be met with widespread outcry, as far as I can tell. I guess the risk is that it creates a power vacuum in Russia that will be filled with one or more Oligarchs who could be as bad or worse than Putin.
It would be utterly disastrous if the West had any involvement in such a step. If he’s toppled (in whatever manner) it must be due to the Russian people.
Although if a Ukrainian got to him, turnabout is fair play.
At what point does any of this matter? I’m not a cynical old git, but I’d be an idiot to think that any form of justice will ever befall the perpetrators during their mortal lifetimes.
The sooner a bloody February Revolution takes place against the latest Tsar and his entourage, the better.
