Warning it is quite graphic

Well Iā€™ve already seen it reported this morning (although I had no inclination to watch the actual video) , so that would suggest that you are wrong about the western media and its supposed narrative.

But what about my narrative about their narrative!!!

Itā€™s on CNNā€™s timeline:

Shooting soldiers in the leg vā€™s bombing women and children?? Mmmmā€¦ Iā€™m sure there is a point intended, what it is is lost when I remember Russia bombed and killed women and children.

Yes, I have seen it. I donā€™t know if it is a provocation or if it is real though. I posted yesterday the document from anonymous of the Russian generalā€™s order to orchestrate such media provocations due to too many surrendering, but I canā€™t vouch for the veracity of that either. But It is widely reported, it has been in several western news paper so you are very wrong about that.

Yes Iā€™m well aware of what the Russians are doing and have no time for them when they target innocent civilians, Iā€™ll give you enough credit to know what the point is and just take it that you really donā€™t give two shits because they are Russian .

Itā€™s bad if it is real though. But people in it need to be identified. The scene where they actually shoot could absolutely be fake since there is no blood.
But basically, what this video shows, or claims to show, is the systematic knee capping of 7-8 pows.

Then again, there is a claim that this is orchestrated and fake Russian info war.

Aside from the fact it has been reported, itā€™s a false equivalence to put this in the same bracket as bombing maternity hospitals or murdering civilians in the bread line.

Kneecapping POWs who have invaded your homeland is bad, and shouldnā€™t happen, but it quite rightly wonā€™t illicit the same level of disgust as the actions Iā€™ve mentioned above, not that that is an exhaustive list of the abhorrent actions taken by russian soldiers in this war.

Well I read this today

So no I have no sympathy for Ukranians dishing out some punishment to Russian soldiers. True or otherwise.

This is perturbing, because itā€™s not only someone saying or doing something stupid, which then feeds Russian propaganda. This guy is actually an admirer of Bandera, who was a terrible murderer in his own right. Then, you start wonderingā€¦

Apparently Bandera is somewhat of a national hero in parts of Ukraine and yeah, thatā€™s problematic to say the least.
But thatā€™s the thing with propaganda, thereā€™s usually a little bit of truth or half-truth that then gets blown out of proportion and used for all kinds of madness and lies.
Not sure if Melnyk is the ideal man for the job of chief diplomat to Germany though, given that kind of baggage and his temperament.

Problem about Stepan Bandera is that in Ukraine he is regarded by a large part of the population as a ā€œnational iconā€ and hero due to his importance when it comes to fighting for a Ukrainian state. His extremism and participation in the Holocaust is glossed over by very many Ukrainians. He is a terrible national hero to have, but they donā€™t have many icons for Ukrainian nationalism since it is quite young. It is not easy for Ukranian politicians to denounce him due to his popularity as an icon for Ukrainian nationalism and the national liberation struggle. Sad but true.

To understand it better, I recommend reading the wiki article on Bandera. It is quite good.
