Unfortunately we have these people here with us and unfortunately they are all over the world. I’ve seen pro-Russian protests in southern Cyprus and Serbia today, but it’s always a big deal when the Germans do it. The thing is, you can see it because they have the right to protest here, that’s the way it is in a free democracy, whether I like their opinion or not. No one gets arrested here for that.

Our media has reported that there were some hundreds, I watched it in our news.

No one gets arrested for large pro Russian demos in Norway either. But we don’t have them. Russians in Norway, and there are quite a few, know they would be completely socially excluded if they attended such demos.
In fact, our level of Free Speech is probably greater than what you are used to, Livvy. We don’t ban swastikas and such. Just take them down if nazis hang them up on buildings or public places.

5000 is absolutely not true. That’s Polish propaganda.

Good to know. 900 is far fewer than I feared, so that’s good. Still a lot of people to have organised such a demo though. Relatively speaking. But probably not more than German nazis can rally on a good day, so probably not super many indeed.

You have to be a little careful with this site, they often don’t stick to the facts, especially when it’s about Germany (Or maybe others too and I just didn’t notice it that much). I just wanted you to know that.

The claim that it was 5000 cars, was from a Ukrainian journalist. That was bogus, which is good.

He has some dead civilians in the background. So graphic if you are very sensitive. Although everyone should really see this imo.
