Don’t really care what Russia recognise at this stage. That would have been their choice to break our NFZ.
I really doubt they would do it. They know their Air Force doesn’t stand a chance against a NATO force.

Poor Biden is being grilled
Just watched Biden press conference, and US not personally sanctioning Putin or denying then from SWIFT… anyone know why? I imagine has to do with EU countries, but not sure.
EU members are still talking atm, from what I understand Germany, Italy, Hungary and Cyprus are still not on board. From Germany’s perspective its really complicated because we would need Swift to continue just to pay for our energy bills imo. We are importing a lot from Russia atm. But pressure is building up so we have to see how this develops. (The new German Government is already working on alternative arrangements)
Various arguments, from… We also need some leeway, you already know it’s February now, ask again in April, to… the Russians will just use their own system or the Chinese system etc.

It dare I say it,tactically looks like a botched Russian operation.The VDV did not succeed in holding it. Probably because reinforcements didn’t show up (those planes we hear about), probably because there was some GBAD or manpads on the ground.
