Christ, they don’t even spread out across terrain. Well, good news I suppose. Bad armoured leadership though:

Kharkiv

Unfortunately I have seen pictures of the bloodied corpses. Quite a lot of Ukrainian soldiers dead in this event:

Supposedly internal disputes concerning the armour delivery saga reported above:

Leo 1A5? Hmm… that’s an oldie goldie from late 70’s with pretty impotent 105mm gun. I read somewhere that on test it couldn’t penetrate against early T72 versions not to mention B3 with reactive ERA armour… But I guess much of it depends on tank usage and tanker skills.

They are pretty awful, aren’t they. At the beginning I thought okay, ā€˜nerves, the majority would still be unblooded in combat regardless of length of service, some nerves etc’ but now the deficiencies are glaring and many and now I’m of the suspicion that bribery and corruption accounts for the Russian officer corps and they’re now paying for it in lives and equipment.

I’ve said it before but if this lot come up against a modern Western armed force they’d be absolutely shredded regardless of any numerical advantage on paper.

Check the source and look again. I already blocked him. Russian telegram video claims against Ukraine media sources.
But I managed to find a close look and recognised white armbands. And tbf groupgatherings like that are a very unprofessional thing.

The enemy uses mostly T-64, T-72 and T-80 with some T-90 sprinkled in between. So it is not as if Russian armour is advanced really. Although upgraded T-72B3s are more dangerous with their targeting etc.
Norway used Leopard previously and I know it can kill a T-72. But it depends on angle and where it hits of course.
But of course, this isn’t a Leopard 2. But it’s a decent tank compared to T-62 and standard T-72 surely.

I have checked sources.

If you don’t believe me I have a far worse video of the aftermath. But I guess you don’t want to see pieces of human beings. But Ukrainian flags very visible. Blown apart.

Better than nothing I suppose. I remember Turkish army had Leo2A5? One of the most advanced version and were losing them badly due to unskilled crews and with poor infrantry support. But I digress.

Let me thank you, Livvy and other for constant updates!

Friendly fire or Orcs?

Orcs, Ukrainian sources say. The group of Ukrainian soldiers thought the area was cleared and and mistook the Russian armour for one of their own. There is a horrific video going circulating of 2-3 men blown to very bloody pieces.

But on the other hand, it is noteworthy that the ā€œgreat Russianā€ victories that the pro-kremlin boys posts about is a single tank killing a group of infantry. When you compare this to column of armour getting killed, it is not exactly something to boast of.

Out of interest, is there a noticeable difference of approach between those from the old East Germany and those from the old West Germany? I don’t mean in totality, just a notable divergence?
