Tread on what to expect on Victory day and this time I can’t be bothered to post the entire thread. Please open instead.

Is this true ?

As if the Ukrainian people haven’t suffered enough already.

I would think so but some salt needed before corroboration. We’ll know soon 100%.

What do you mean?

Don’t feel the need to post individual post of thread, people interested will click.

Or what I started to do is include a threadreader app link for helping to read.

Is it the case that sanctions can only be lifted if Ukraine agrees to it ? I find that claim a little dubious tbh. It was only a couple of days ago that the Russians were insisting that sanctions relief had to be a condition for the resumption of peace talks.

I watched the half hour long interview Scholz gave on German telly a few days ago. He was fairly specific (by his standards) that sanctions could only be lifted once there is a (peace) agreement Russia with Ukraine.

ah , well that’s a little clearer then.

Essentially he was making the point that Putin is miscalculating if he thinks he can just keep parts of the Ukraine and have a peace dictated by his own terms and then sanctions would be lifted.

He knows damn well it’s not going to plan. It was him who didn’t send his troops in as ā€˜planned’.

They have all gone stark raving mad, they are so mad that no meter @Kopstar could even imagine inventing could measure it.
