Ryan GRAVENBERCH: 2024/25

He’d want to get away talking about work I reckon.

Ryan’s left the Netherlands camp with an injury he picked up over the weekend. Hopefully nothing major and this gives him a wee, much needed, rest.

Attacks on international football coming in 3, 2, 1…

But yeah it seems like quite a few players dropped out from squads, already carrying certain injuries or coaches speaking about fatigue.

Could be a doubt for the Derby, it sez 'ere …
Ryan Gravenberch withdraws from Netherlands squad with injury - BBC Sport

This absolute nonsense at this time of the season will continue until clubs install a boycott on meaningless International fixtures. The Nations league?

Gravenberch got injured against Newcastle. I don’t know jow much R & R he and the rest of the internationals will get over this break, but for once it is working in our favour.

There’s a possibility of there being a chance that maybe Gravenberch could be a doubt for the derby…

They know fuck all. That said I fully expect him to be out for about 6 weeks given how things are going in general atm.

I’d reserve judgement on that if I were you. Players being carted all over the world at this stage of the season, I’ll be amazed if the likes of VVD, Gakpo, Szlobo, Robbo, Tsimikas, Diaz, MacAllister and Nunez don’t play 180 minutes.
If they come back injury-free then fair enough, there’s an extra few days break before the derby but even then we know how things go when we haven’t played for a week.

It’s why I won’t be declaring a title anytime soon.

We do have cover but…Also if he picked a it up in the final do they not trust people who have been part of their setup.

Ryan’s agent, Jose Fortes Rodriguez (part of Team Raiola):

"He’s good enough for Real Madrid. We would love for him to play for them, but Liverpool would ask for a lot of money. I know they’ve had their eye on him, but now it’s impossible.

"Ryan needed playing time to develop. I told Julian Nagelsmann (Bayern Munich’s coach at the time) that if he didn’t play, he would leave. We were clear that he had to go to Liverpool; he fit in perfectly with this team.

“When Ryan was 16, Barcelona called us. They wanted to sign him, but his father and I prioritised his development. At Ajax, he was able to develop in a way that he possibly wouldn’t have at Barca."

Fucking hate football agents.

Ryan’s career in the dirt 18 months ago, and didn’t really take off under Jurgen. 8 months into this season and now his agent pipes up.

Most annoying.

They might love for him to play at RM. But Ryan looks pretty fucking happy playing in red, so they can fuck right off.

Does this mean we have a player who will run his contract down for his agent?

So the pattern is has a year off (2024) then wins three leagues in a row. Let’s hope that is repeated.
