Ryan GRAVENBERCH: 2025/26

Yup when I could only find a random self bought blue tick who runs a site claiming to be Romano News but is actually mostly him making this stuff up I did wonder.

Near the end of pre-season, he looked to me in possibly the best shape out of all of our players, in both directions. But especially midfield. After learning the double pivot #6 role last season (you never stop learning though), I feel this season he might look to become more complete and show even more his ability on the ball. Slot said near the end of last season that he can improve his passing. The ability is there. Now he seems like a player who loves his new role and also knows when he can also go forward and do special things.

He’s also only just turned 23. I think we’re seeing the benefit of him growing into his body a bit which for gangly guys like him can take a bit longer.

He’s not even warmed up this season.
Just hope Slot knows what he’s doing as last season Gravenberch looked knackered at times.

Fantastic this fella, he’s going up a level. Best performer so far this season.

Was interesting last year - he started really well and then seem to run out of steam - for want of a better phrase. I think it will be important to keep him fresh, possibly by occasionally having him on the bench or just rested.

Slot ran him ragged and it worried me. However from what we have seen of him so far this season last season was just what the doctor ordered.
Does Slit know what he’s doing or is it just luck, the player just has it or what?

Seems that they would likely have looked over the numbers/performances and adjust accordingly. Already he is talking about resting players so maybe they have already made the adjustment (to last year).

I think most of the team dropped off if I’m honest.

Can’t think of anyone particularly who had a great last third of the season compared to those who did. PSG took something out of us oddly enough I felt.

Gravenberch could move for the last 15 minutes of the matches yet was kept on.
Didn’t he play more minutes than anyone else last season?
At the end of some matches he was so knackered he could hardly kick the ball let alone make a pass. It was an incredible effort however one must demand if it wasn’t too much?

Makes a pleasant change from the seemingly endless supply of stories about yanited that the BBC often carries
