Social Media discussion

It is still possible to cultivate a good list of sources to follow. I think the challenge is the recent change mean all the value is now concentrated in the OPs from the people you follow with much less valuable content in the resulting thread.

Thought I’d raise it here for discussion.

WTF is going on with Terrence Howard?
Apparently 1x1 = 2 in his world along with a heap of other weirdness.

280,000 members. 2 posts in the last two weeks. (that’s for video creator ?)

10 posts a day apparently.

Not sure what he is doing with his hair improves his image :0)

That’s a truly disgusting picture Maria.
How is it related to the topic if you don’t mind me asking?

Sure.
I wasn’t sure where to put it. I found it on X, which is a social media outlet, thus I put it here.

Also, I have way too much time on my hands this Bank Holiday.

Facebook has decided to send me lots of pictures of Susanna Hoffs.
I really have no idea why, but it’s quite nice to be honest.

So sad to see.

Can’t imagine talking about a child of mine like they are dead. (Irrespective of reason)

It’s also based on utter bollocks. Puberty blockers are not at all irreversible. They are drugs that have been given to cis children for decades to delay early puberty and the effects on sexual development are entirely reversible once treatment stops.

It really defies belief that he has managed to fool so many people in believing that he’s some sort of genius. This is just bottomless stupidity shining through.

It must be a function of the human brain that we associate being “successful” with intelligence.

I know it was actually a big part of Ben Shapiro’s criticism of Glass Onion. He was utterly outraged that the billionaire in the movie was portrayed as an absolute moron, which Ben simply does not think is possible.

The tide has turned on Musk though, I believe. He’s just been too visible, too many public fuck ups and now most people understand that he’s actually an idiot. Still has his fanboys of course but mostly these are just people who like his political beliefs.

The irony being that the movement is also full of people who demean academic institutions, which is an acknowledgment whether they know it or not that knowledge and expertise are domain specific (you might have your fancy degree and know more than me about feminist literature, but you dont know shit about important stuff).
