Apparently the fee for Iroegbunam is essentially the same as what Villa have paid for Dobbin, so yes appears to be a way for teams to work together and bend the rules.

Also note the date. This season’s books dont close until the end of this month so getting these deals done now looks every bit a last minute bid to get over some PSR threshold from the past season.

Probably, but wouldn’t surprised me if they add one more as well. With Rudiger taking up one spot, they currently only have Militao and Alaba as senior CBs to partner him, both of whom tore knee ligaments last season. Alaba is still a good way from fitness and while Militao got a couple of appearances the last few weeks of the season hasnt yet demonstrated a return to full fitness.
